What my eyes witnessed and the ears heard makes my mind content. May Allah Almighty augment twice the fortune for good things and grant more success to Markaz's leader Sheikh Abubakar Ahmad.
Calicut: Sheikh Abubakr Ahmad, the Grand Mufti of India, has extended his heartfelt Eid al-Adha greetings to believers across the world.
In his Eid message, Sheikh Abubakr said that Eid al-Adha commemorates the unwavering devotion of Prophet Ibrahim (AS) and serves as a powerful reminder that steadfast faith, patience, and adherence to divine guidance ultimately lead to success, even amid the most difficult trials.
He noted that the life of Prophet Ibrahim (AS) and his family continues to inspire humanity to confront challenges with courage, remain hopeful during moments of uncertainty, and uphold moral values in all circumstances.
Highlighting the spiritual and social dimensions of the festival, Sheikh Abubakr Ahmad said that Eid al-Adha embodies the principles of unity, brotherhood, generosity, and compassion. He added that the rituals of Hajj, Qurbani (sacrifice), and Eid prayers collectively reinforce these values and strengthen the bonds of human solidarity.
Expressing concern over the ongoing conflicts and humanitarian crises affecting various parts of the world, particularly in West Asia, the Grand Mufti urged communities to make the occasion meaningful by extending support to those facing hardship. He called upon people to share their blessings with the underprivileged, offer comfort to the distressed, and stand in solidarity with vulnerable sections of society.
“Eid is a time to reaffirm our commitment to compassion, social responsibility, and collective well-being. Let us ensure that the joy of this blessed occasion reaches every home, especially those burdened by hardship and loss,” he said.
Sheikh Abubakr prayed that Eid al-Adha would bring peace, prosperity, and harmony to humanity and further strengthen the values of mutual respect, coexistence, and compassion among people.
